What is a Fish Producers’ Organisation?

A cooperative of fishing companies.

Fish Producers’ Organisations (FPOs) are officially recognised bodies set up by fishery producers. FPOs manage their members’ fishing quota, represent their members’ interests at a government and policy level, and improve market conditions for the catch. FPO’s are at the forefront of delivering a sustainable and profitable future for the UK seafood sector.
